As a durable graphics company, fading ink is a quality issue. Normally our clients want vibrant graphics that last year after year, so when we received a request for disappearing ink – it was certainly a surprise. Who would want a durable graphic with fading ink? Not any Romo Durable Graphics customers I know!
The graphic is decorating a container that holds healthy snacks for children. And the design promotes a favorite holiday of most kids – Halloween. It’s thermochromatic so when you hold your thumb over the black “blob”, the blob disappears and a skeleton appears. Ooooo scary!
Researching inks and testing our materials has been a labor of love over the past 12 months. There were multiple twists and turns along the way but turned out to be a FUNctional graphic with surprising results.
