In a city of less than 25,000 people, our family-owned company, Romo Durable Graphics, employs 120 hard-working, dedicated team members. De Pere, a suburb of Green Bay, is a typical Wisconsin town that believes in a strong work ethic and pride in what we produce. Getting our hands dirty, caring for the community, humbleness, close family ties, and doing what is right are the key ingredients to our Midwest work ethic.

Our history began in 1953 with two industrious men who set out to start a printing company in downtown Green Bay. Romo Printing specialized in local advertising signage, placards, and bumper stickers. Les and Bill (the owners) were artists in the new landscape of magazine and newspaper advertising. They soon became an important business in the local community and worked for one of the first national football teams – the Green Bay Packers.

This is a page from a 1967 Packers Game Day Program.

In the early 60’s, Romo hand lettered all the name placards for the Green Bay Packers locker room. When Vince Lombardi wanted a logo for the side of the Packers helmet. Dad Braiser, the equipment manager, enlisted the help of a local university intern named John Gordon to create a “G” in the shape of a football. Dad handed the idea over to Les, and from there Romo developed the art for the Packer “G” known around the world today. The logo first appeared as a “bumper sticker” on the side of the Packer helmets.

Its been close to 70 years since our humble beginnings. Challenges and changes have guided Romo to focus on durable industrial graphics for the OEM market. It’s where we belong. It’s where we excel. With quality ingredients, each and every team member proudly creates and ships the best decals out the door each day. We value our employees like family and value their longtime dedication. A handful of employees have worked here more than 30 years!

As Vince Lombardi once said, “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.”

Midwestern values in action.
